Starfyn specializes in sales and office, primary and secondary teachers, innovation staff, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) recruitment for businesses, schools, and colleges across the United Kingdom. Whether you are looking to hire talent for an open position or searching for your next job, Starfyn Recruitment will help make the best match! 

For recruiters, manually collecting and screening candidate applications, posting jobs, and in-taking clients can distract them from making the best matches. Starfyn’s website makes it simple. It is a custom WordPress website built using a custom theme with a focus on job listings. It enables users to filter jobs by categories, collect and screen applications with integrated contact forms for inquiries and CV submissions and has a blog for informative content. We built Starfyn, a website that empowers them to automate mundane tasks, streamline their services, and take full control of their business growth.

Challenges

The main challenge was creating a seamless and efficient job search experience for multiple job categories (e.g., Sales, Education, Office). If the functionality wasn’t implemented correctly, users will face problems like slow response time and increased risk of errors in search results.

Since the client required a custom search functionality, integrating the applicant tracking systems (ATS) with the recruitment software (Idibu) was challenging.

Solutions

To avoid an inefficient job search, we implemented a well-designed database schema with indexed categories, subcategories, and tags to support a smooth, dynamic search experience. This solution ensured speed, accuracy, and scalability.

We decided to use the WPJobBoard plugin for effective integration with Idibu, which worked like a charm! We also thoroughly tested our custom search filter system for smooth functionality to avoid surprises.

Key Features

Connecting Talent with Meaningful Careers 

The job listing functionality is the heart of our website. Designed with a minimalistic search interface and advanced filtering tool, the job search functionality feature makes it easy for applicants to find and apply for job openings based on their preferred categories. 

The accompanying job detail page provides complete information about the listed job, including the job description, location, salary, job type, start date, and last date to apply. Users can conveniently enter their contact details and upload their CVs to apply for their preferred job from the job detail page. 

Scheduling Made Easy with Calendly Integration

We integrated Calendly on the contact page to allow users to book calls directly, streamlining communication between potential candidates and recruiters. This integration enhanced the user’s experience and contributed to the efficiency of the overall recruitment process.

Designed to Build Connections, One Form at a Time

While designing and developing the Starfyn website, we prioritized simplicity and accessibility in every feature. By integrating Contact Form 7, we allowed users to easily submit inquiries and upload their CVs for job applications directly through the site. These forms reduced the time it took users to apply for their preferred job. An efficient application process meant more applicants!
